You get to choose from 100's of cool templates. Or the advanced user could choose the "Build Your Site From Scratch" link on the left. (not recommended for beginners). When you find a page design you like, click on it and you will be taken to the Sign-Up page. Enter your desired user name and password and a valid email address. This is where they will send your log-in information. When finished, click the "Continue" button. (there may be a short delay while your site is configured)

2.  You will then be taken to a page that will allow you to choose you free website's title or domain name. A free account will use a subdomain, but you can choose a top-level domain if you want for a small monthly fee. Type in your desired title and click the "Continue" button.

3.  You will now be taken to the "Edit Site" page. From this page you can access all your editing tools and video tutorials. A good place to start is the "Edit Website" link at the top left. In the middle of this page your will see a section titled "My Pages". Here is where you can add (and remove) pages to your free website. You will also edit your pages from here. For example I will explain how to edit the main page (Home) of your site. Click on the little pencil icon to the right of "Home" and you will go to the page editor. You will be using a very high quality WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) website page editor.

4.  All of the templates are different, so deciding which one you choose, editing may vary a bit. In an area of your page that contains text, if you click on it once, you will see it is in a box. You can change the box size by dragging the little squares at the sides and corners. You can also drag the box to a different area of the page just by holding down your left mouse button and dragging the box to where you want it. To edit the text within the box, double click the text. You can then highlight it and replace it with your desired text. HINT: when previewing your pages, if you cannot see your changes, "refresh" your browser.

How to create a new page

You can create a new page for your site by clicking on the "New Page" link in the toolbar at the top of the page. Enter the name of the new page into the dialog box that appears. Choose whether to create a blank page or make a copy of an existing page on your site.

How to add an image to a page

Add an image to your page by clicking on the "Inset Image" picture icon link in the toolbar at the top of the page. Click the "Browse" button in the upper right hand corner to select an image from your computer. Locate the image you'd like to upload on your computer. Double click with the left mouse button to upload your image. Once the image is uploaded... double click on the image thumbnail to place it on your page. You can then drag and drop the image to any location on the page.

How to create a link to another page

You can create a link to another page on your site or any page on the web by clicking the "Hyperlink" icon in the toolbar at the top of the page. Choose the "Local Page" option to link to another page on your site or choose the "External Page" option to link to another page on the web. Once you've chosen the page you want to link to click "Ok".
