Choosing 110mb.com is a great choice for free website hosting. You have all the benefits and tools of paid hosting and no forced advertising.

Signing up

First go to www.110mb.com. (link will open in a new window, so you may continue to read this tutorial. Go ahead and click on the big green "Signup Now" button. You will then be able to choose your user name (user name will also be your site address) and password. Enter a valid email address, agree to the terms of service and enter the human validation code in the box. Then click the "Continue to Payment Information" button. A confirmation email will be sent to your email account. NOTE: 110mb.com has recently made you take a survey or sign up for a free offer - I signed up for Kellogg's coupons and it didn't seem too bad.
Click on the link in the email and you will be taken to the registration page 2. Enter your password (same as above), your name and city and then again click the "Create My Account Now" button. On the top of the page on the right, enter your user name in the top box and your password in the 2nd box. You will then be taken to your administration control panel.
This is one of the best reasons to choose 110mb.com for your free host. You have complete access to your html code. This will allow you to use any type of template for your free pages that you want. You will see that in the top box, you can use the free "Site Builder" and create a cool free website, but for the sake of this tutorial, I am going to use a free template from free-templates.org.
Go to http://free-templates.org and in the left column you will see templates for beginners. If you are a real true beginner, one of the easiest to edit is free template #10. Highlight and copy the template code for your template. Now go back to your administration control panel page for 110mb.com. Click on the in the box that says "File Manager". By default, there will already be an "index.htm" page - this is the main page of your site. This is where we are going to paste your template code. On the far right of index.htm, click the edit (edit) icon. It is the icon 2nd from the right. Now click on "Source" which is at the top left of your website editor's tool bar. Now highlight all of the source code from (and including)  <html> to </html>. Right click on the highlighted area and "paste" your template code you copied from free-templates.org. Then, next to source, click the floppy disk (save) icon.
You should now see your template, and you can edit it now in the visual editor. This is a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) web page editor. You do not have to ever edit the source code again, you can just change the text on the page.

Adding Images

The easiest way to add an image to your page is to use the image address from somewhere else on the internet and then just click on the page where you want the image, then click the "insert / edit image (photo icon) in the middle of the toolbar. Put the entire URL to the image in the box. You can also upload files from the file manager by clicking "upload files", then browsing your computer. They will then show up in your directory. Click on the image in the directory and the image will appear in a new window. Copy the URL from the address bar and you can insert the image by posting the URL in the box as above.

Adding New Pages

It is easy to add a new page to your website. From the file manager, click on "New file", then type in the name of the page with no spaces, and add ".htm" to the end, so your "about us" page would be aboutus.htm and click "create". To link to that page from your main page, bring your main page up in the editor, highlight the text you want to use as the link text and then click the "insert / Edit link icon in the middle of the editor toolbar (it looks like the Earth with a chain link). Type in the entire address of the page so it would look something like http://yoursite.110mb.com/newpage.htm (replacing yoursite and newpage with your info).
