Signing up

     First go to 000webhost.com. (Page will open in a new window so you may continue to read this tutorial). Click the "Order Now" button under the Free Hosting column. You may use your own top-level domain name or choose a free subdomain name. For the purpose of this tutorial, I will continue with the free subdomain name choice. Enter your desired website name in the box before the .site90.com. Then enter your name and email in the next 2 boxes. (use a valid email as you will be asked to validate your free account). Choose a password, enter the validation number and agree to the terms of service. Click the "Create My Account" button.

     Be patient while your account is being created as the page may refresh a few times. You will eventually see the "Account Details Overview" page. This page contains your account information and is your members area. (Write down your user name and password, as you may need it later). You will see this page when you log in in the future, so make sure to save http://members.000webhost.com/. (Bookmark the link as instructed). Website Setup You may use and FTP program to upload your website if you already have one built, but to access the online WYSIWYG website builder, click the "Enter Control Panel" link.

     As you can see, this is quite an extensive control panel, but to get started, under the Software / Services row, click the "Website Builder" icon. You will now see a link to http://sitebuilder.000webhost.com where you will be able to choose and install a template for your website. The page will open in a new window and already contain your user name and password, just click the "Next -> Step2" button. You will now see many pages of templates to choose from. When you select a template, you will be able to view a larger version of it. If you like it, click the "Next -> Step3" button. You will now be able to enter some of your site's details like Company Name, Slogan, Contact Information, Meta Tags and choose how many subpages you want to have. Once finished click the "Go -> Install my website" button and their software will upload all files to your account. You may get a warning alert saying your existing files will be overwritten, click ok. (Note that this process can take up to 5 minutes, so please be patient while builder is installing your website).

Start Building

     Once you got confirmation that website was installed, click the "Go, Edit My Website ->" button or go to http://freewebsite.site90.com/admin to start editing your website. Login with your account username and the password. If for some reason you do not like the template that was installed, first run "Cleanup / Reload Account" and then go Step-1 and choose and install another template.
     You will now be on the Website Builder Admin Panel page. First make sure to update your personal information (email) and your security question from the links at the top of the page before you start editing your web page. To edit a page, just click on the page title in the left column. The page editor will open (be patient), and you may type in your text, add photos, links and more. If you have no experience with this type of site builder, you may need to play around and experiment with the different icons in the toolbar. This is a very professional interface, and the learning experience is a very valuable lesson in your website building career.

     To create a hyperlink, type and highlight your desired anchored text, and then the "link" icon will appear on the toolbar (or just type out the complete web address with http).
